I received this in the post today…

A CASSETTE! Sent all the way from the USA. The artist is Clive Tanaka y su orquesta and after sending an e-mail to find out more info about this chap I received the below…

‘Mr. Tanaka, a Hokkaido native, runs Tanaka Heavy Industries, a manufacturing keiretsu. He also often composes and performs music alone and with his orquesta. Mr. Tanaka is working on several projects presently, but one never knows when he will finish. The music of Jet Set Siempre 1º is presently only available on cassette tape and the 1/2″ master reels to which it was originally printed.’

I’ve decided I am not going to open the cassette until I actually have a deck to play it in. Side A is labeled ‘For Dance’ and Side B is labeled ‘For Romance’. I haven’t even heard it yet and I am loving it based on the titles of these two sides.

Although I haven’t heard the cassette in full I have heard music on Pasta Prima and found the tracks I heard addictive. Check it out.
